Brocade Networks networking-gear company reported a fiscal first-quarter profit of $51.1 million, or 11 cents a share, compared with a loss of $23.9 million, or 6 cents a share, for the year-earlier period. Revenue was $539.5 million, up from $431.6 million for the same period the previous year. Adjusted earnings were 19 cents a share.
